I’m a wife, mama x3, and lifestyle photographer based in Northwest Indiana. Most days you’ll find me with a coffee in hand, chasing toddlers, editing in cozy clothes, or dreaming up my next creative shoot.
I specialize in capturing families, motherhood, love stories, and all the beautiful chaos in between. So, the real-life, giggle-filled, messy, magical moments you’ll want to hold onto forever. I’m all about photos that feel like you: honest, warm, and full of connection.
Whether we're laughing through a family session or documenting a milestone, I promise to show up with patience, heart, and a little bit of silliness (especially if it helps your kids smile). I can’t wait to tell your story.

If you’re searching for studio family photos in or around South Bend Indiana, you’re probably a busy mom who wants updated family pictures without stressing about the weather, cranky kids, or planning an outdoor location.
As a South Bend area family photographer (and a mom myself), I’ve worked with all kinds of families! Toddlers who won’t sit still, babies who need breaks, and kids who decide they’re done the second the camera comes out 😅
And honestly? That’s exactly why studio family sessions are one of my favorite options for families!
Studio photos are super simple, stress-free, and perfect for moms who want beautiful family images without the chaos of planning around the outdoors.
If you’re considering booking studio family photos in South Bend, here’s everything you need to know about booking it with me. Including what a session looks like, what to wear, and how to prepare your kids so the whole experience feels easy.

Studio sessions are such an underrated gem! Especially in Indiana where the weather can change in five minutes.
Here are a few reasons families love studio sessions:
Absolutely no rain, no wind, no freezing temps, and no sweating through your outfit in the summer heat. Studio sessions are weather-proof, which makes them an amazing option year-round.
Studio photos have a bright, simple feel that keeps the focus on what matters most: your family and your connection. They’re the kind of images you can frame anywhere in your home and never get tired of looking at.
Studio family sessions are great for little ones because there are fewer distractions and the simpler the environment. If your child needs a snack break, a cuddle, or a minute to warm up, it’s easy to pause and reset without the stress of being in a busy public location with lots of people around and things happening to distract them.

If you’ve never done a studio session before, it’s completely normal to feel unsure. Most moms ask me: “What will we actually do during the session?”
The answer is: nothing complicated…and that’s the beauty of it.
Studio sessions with me are relaxed, easy and guided, but never stiff or overly posed. I’ll direct you the entire time so you don’t have to worry about what to do with your hands or where to stand.
Here’s what the flow usually looks like:
We’ll begin with a few simple family shots so everyone can settle in. If you have a shy toddler or kiddo, don’t worry, we’ll take our time and ease into things.
You’ll get a variety of images including: everyone looking at the camera, cozy snuggles, laughter and movement, sweet sibling moments, little personality-filled expressions.
Some of the best photos happen when your kids are just being their goofy little selves.
If your child needs a snack, water, or a minute to calm down, we take a quick pause. Studio family sessions are very low pressure and laid back.
I use prompts, games, and LOTS of energy to keep kids engaged. If your child is in a wild mood, we work with it, not against it. Typically I play music your children like and this immediately helps them feel a little more comfortable.

Outfits can make a huge difference in studio photos, but the good news is: you don’t need anything fancy or stressful. Honestly, studio images really look best with clothing that feels neutral, soft, and timeless.
Textures also photograph beautifully, such as:
If you can, try to avoid:
A great rule of thumb:
dress like your family is going to the same place, not like you’re matching exactly.
Coordinated > identical.
Some places I personally love to shop when it comes to photo outfits would be: Old Navy, H&M, Gap, Target, Amazon

If you’re a mom, you already know kids can be pretty unpredictable. And if you’re nervous about your kids “not cooperating,” you are not alone.
But I promise you, I’ve seen it all, and I know how to work with toddlers and little personalities.
Here are a few simple tips to make your session smoother:
This surprises a lot of parents, but it’s true.
If kids hear “YOU HAVE TO SMILE FOR PICTURES!” all day, it often backfires.
Instead, keep it simple:
“We’re going to take pictures and then we’ll do something fun after.”
A quick snack break can save the entire session. I recommend mess-free options like: crackers, fruit snacks, mini marshmallows, granola bars
(Anything quick that won’t stain hands!)
If your child has a favorite stuffed animal or lovey, bring it. Even if it doesn’t end up in the final photos, it helps them feel safe and comfortable with it there.
Studio sessions with me are a judgment-free zone. If your toddler wants to wiggle, move, or take a minute to warm up, that’s completely normal. Some of the best images come from the in-between moments.
This is the biggest one.
Sometimes sessions feel chaotic in the moment… and then parents see their gallery and say:
“Wait… HOW did you capture all of that?!”
That’s the magic of experience, patience, and knowing how to work with young kids.

Studio sessions aren’t just for “annual family pictures.”
