I’m a wife, mama x3, and lifestyle photographer based in Northwest Indiana. Most days you’ll find me with a coffee in hand, chasing toddlers, editing in cozy clothes, or dreaming up my next creative shoot.
I specialize in capturing families, motherhood, love stories, and all the beautiful chaos in between. So, the real-life, giggle-filled, messy, magical moments you’ll want to hold onto forever. I’m all about photos that feel like you: honest, warm, and full of connection.
Whether we're laughing through a family session or documenting a milestone, I promise to show up with patience, heart, and a little bit of silliness (especially if it helps your kids smile). I can’t wait to tell your story.

Hi, I’m Chaeney – a South Bend engagement photographer! 🙂
One of my favorite things is helping couples plan engagement sessions that truly reflect WHO they are. While beautiful parks, beaches, and downtown locations will always be popular, there is something extra special about choosing a location that tells part of your story.
That’s exactly what Terena and Chase did for their engagement session.
Instead of opting for a traditional outdoor location, they chose a bowling alley. A place that perfectly represents their relationship and the fun they have together. The result was an engagement session that felt authentic, playful, and completely unique to them. We decided to go to Chippewa Bowl in South Bend.

One question I often ask couples as a South Bend engagement photographer is:
“What do you love doing together?”
The answer usually leads to some of the best engagement session ideas.
Whether it’s grabbing coffee, exploring downtown South Bend, spending time on Lake Michigan, attending Notre Dame football games, or bowling together, incorporating meaningful activities helps create photos that feel natural and genuine.
For Terena and Chase, bowling was an EASYYY choice.
From the moment we started photographing, it was obvious how comfortable they were together. Instead of worrying about posing every second, they focused on having fun, which allowed me to capture real smiles, laughter, and moments that truly represent their relationship.

One of the biggest misconceptions about engagement photos is that every image has to be perfectly posed.
While we absolutely captured some beautiful portraits of Terena and Chase, some of my favorite images from the session happened between the poses.
The friendly competition, the laughs after missed shots, and the excitement after knocking down pins all created genuine moments that simply can’t be recreated in a traditional portrait session.
That’s one reason I encourage couples to choose locations and activities that feel like them.
The more comfortable you are, the more authentic your photos will be.

Small fun fact: Chase & Terena met at a bowling alley while they were in bowling leagues 10 years ago. So this session felt so fitting for them.
Every couple’s story is different, and your engagement session should reflect that.
As a South Bend engagement photographer, I love helping couples think outside the box when it comes to choosing a location. Some of the most memorable sessions happen when couples select places that hold meaning in their relationship.
Your engagement session doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s.
Whether your story includes bowling alleys, coffee shops, bookstores, arcades, hiking trails, beaches, or your favorite local restaurant, those personal details help create a gallery that feels uniquely yours.
Years from now, you’ll remember more than just how your photos looked, you’ll remember how the experience felt.

One of the best parts of photographing engagement sessions is getting to know my couples before their wedding day.
By the time the wedding arrives, we’ve already spent time together, you’ve experienced my approach to photography, and you’ll feel much more comfortable in front of the camera.
As a South Bend wedding photographer, my goal is to create an experience that feels relaxed, fun, and stress-free while documenting the moments that matter most.
Whether you’re planning a wedding in South Bend, Mishawaka, Notre Dame, New Buffalo, St. Joseph, or really anywhere throughout Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan, I’d love to help tell your story.

Terena and Chase’s engagement session was the perfect reminder that the best engagement photos aren’t always about finding the most picturesque location.
Sometimes the best location is simply the one that feels most like you.
Their session was full of laughter, personality, and genuine connection, and I cannot wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day.
