Adkins Family Photography Session in Elkhart, Indiana

A fun and sweet family photography session with the Adkins family I had a couple of months ago! I had the privilege of not only photographing their beautiful family, but also getting to document their pregnancy announcement! These were so much fun to do, including the siblings in these types of shoots is key and makes the photos come out so cute. I love getting to be their trusted family photographer for these precious moments.

We took these photos in Elkhart, Indiana at Cobus Creek County Park. This park is definitely a huge hit for photographers all over the area. So, typically, I do expect this location to be hopping with other photographers. However, I definitely did not expect what happened this day – which was that there was a party happening at the shelter while we took these! LOL. A first for me. Sooo we had some background music during this session! But you truly can’t even tell any craziness was happening behind the scenes here. These guys make taking photos so much fun and easy! I love love love capturing these moments.

This family photography session / pregnancy announcement was clearly a success! I had so much fun capturing this crew. Can’t wait to see their sweet new baby this winter!

So many people do ask me.. when is the best time to take announcement photos? The truth is.. there is no best time! Whenever YOU are ready to do them is the best time. Whether you’re 5 weeks or 20 weeks… no wrong time for announcement photos. Pregnancies are so amazing – they should be documented and celebrated! You may want these photos to remember forever 🙂
